ZCP17XX Series Waterproof Nano Coating is an advanced single-component nanotechnology developed by AZ Nano Tech in collaboration with Triz GmbH KG & Co., Ltd., UK. This innovative coating is formulated with specially structured fluoropolymer resins, offering exceptional penetration and adhesion to most substrates. It employs non-flammable, environmentally friendly solvents that are transparent, odorless, and safe for use. The product complies with RoHS and REACH 168-item certifications, ensuring superior environmental and safety standards.

 

With just a simple dip or spray application, ZCP17XX forms an ultra-thin nanolayer on PCBA circuit boards and various components. Once cured, the coating is completely colourless and transparent, featuring no visible thickness. It does not interfere with electronic signals or heat dissipation and provides excellent waterproof, moisture-proof, and corrosion-resistant properties while maintaining non-flammable and explosion-safe characteristics.

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE

Application Instructions

  • Preparation:

    • Ensure the workpiece surface is dry, clean, dust-free, and oil-free.
    • Prepare a clean and dry container for immersion (plastic or glass materials are recommended).
  • Filling the Container:

    • Pour an appropriate amount of liquid into the container. Ensure the liquid depth is sufficient to submerge the highest point of the PCB by at least 5mm.
  • Immersion:

    • Immerse the PCB in the liquid for 1-4 seconds, depending on the specific component requirements.
    • Remove the board and allow it to air dry for approximately 2 minutes.
  • Curing:

    • Room Temperature:
      • Surface dry in 2-10 minutes, fully cured in 12-24 hours.
      • For batch production, assembly steps can begin after the surface dries.
    • Heat Curing:
      • Recommended temperature range is 60-100°C, adjusted to the lowest heat tolerance of components.
      • For example, if lithium batteries are present on the board, bake at 60°C for 30 minutes.
  • Coverage:

    • Application area is approximately 5-20 square meters per kilogram.

Precautions

  • Masking:

    • Before application, mask PCBA connector areas, soft ribbon cable interfaces, and button gaps. The nano coating’s insulating properties can affect these components, leading to reduced conductivity or malfunctions.
  • Immersion Time:

    • Keep immersion time to 1-2 seconds. Prolonged immersion can result in excessive coating accumulation, potentially increasing the thickness beyond the nano-scale to the micro-scale. This may impair sensitive components, such as reducing microphone sound quality.
  • Handling the Container:

    • If the container is temporarily idle, cover it to minimize evaporation and exposure to ambient moisture, which can cause side reactions and affect liquid performance.
  • Dilution and Storage:

    • Monitor liquid concentration during use. Evaporation may lead to increased concentration, requiring dilution before reuse.
    • For extended non-use periods, transfer the liquid back to a dedicated sealed storage bottle.
